Artifact #0075

This limestone scraper, fashioned in what might be called a hand axe shape, and clearly also in a bird form, shows apparent reworking.  The bit edge, worn and receded from its original extent, appears to have been incised with a sharp implement applied with force at the edge and drawn inward with decreasing pressure.  In addition, what seem to be pecking marks are visible.  The bottom photo shows a close-up of the edge.  Incision marks like these appear quite frequently throughout the assemblage.
