Flint Bear Figure - Day's Knob Archaeological Site 

 

The figure below displays the one-eye-open one-eye-shut motif common both in Native American and in European Paleolithic artifact material.

 

On the two figures below, the eye itself is intricately carved into a complex image.  This is common, and these are two of the finer examples.
