Quartz, found by flintknapper Bob Doyle in southern Maine.

On this hard and difficult-to-work material note the teeth flaked and pecked in the mouth, and the characteristic figure emerging from the mouth.  Also note the common bird-like figure atop the head, with detailed eye, facing to the right.
